Edward, Boots’ younger brother, has just enrolled at Macdonald Hall. Mr. Sturgeon, the Headmaster of Macdonald Hall, is considering resigning, saying that there are no more challenges left. A series of escapades captures everyone’s attention, including the dressing of Sir John A. Macdonalds's statue in a scuba suit; the blue-dyed swimming pool; detour signs on Highway 48; and the stuffing of the cannon with a human mannequin. The mystery unfolds as the two boys try to capture the person responsible.
