About the Novel:
This is the delightful story of a caterpillar's growth and change as he moves through his life cycle from egg to butterfly. The story begins with the first stage in his life cycle an egg on a leaf. When the egg hatches, the tiny caterpillar emerges, and he is very hungry. The little caterpillar eats everything in sight. For seven days he eats many different and delicious foods, and as he eats, he grows into a very big caterpillar. Then, he builds a cocoon around himself. The caterpillar remains nested in his new home for just over two weeks, and finally he re-emerges into the world as a beautiful butterfly.
